Crash Festival 2013

July 1, 2013

Crash Festival is a 2 day festival aiming to provide a platform for the very best local musical talent as well as a couple of visiting bands. There will be over 30 different DJ’s, bands and singers over the 2 days and as always the cost to visitors has been kept to a minimum with affordable ticket pricing yet again.

Dai Robs who has this year been responsible for booking all the acts said “Crash is a great platform for local acts. We have some incredible talent in the area and at Crash people get to see them on a great stage, with a great sound and lighting system at a price that doesn’t break the bank. It is always a great atmosphere and I predict that this year will be the biggest and best Crash so far.”

This year’s line up consists of acts such as Fight The Bear, Halflight, MK Zero, The Velvet Dukes, Subtheme, Blues Boy Dan, Shake Shake Go, The Soul Preachers and many many more. In the past the festival has attracted an audience of around 1500 people but with momentum starting to grow they are expecting over 2000 people in 2013.

The festival aims to use any revenue to continue to put on an annual festival and to support local projects within the area. Festival organiser Ian Friend said “we were very lucky last year to have two superb sponsors in The Regent Centre, Newtown and The Royal Oak, Welshpool. Our sponsors play a massive part in making Crash the event it is and we welcome any business that might be interested in sponsoring the event to contact us at“
