Directions

This walk starts at the junction of Hafren Road and Plantation Lane near the Dolfor Road.  Facing away from Plantation Lane and turning your back on the school opposite, walk up Hafren road on the left-hand pavement, parallel to Dolfor Road on your left.  Follow it around till it curves right and you can see the hill ahead of you on the right.

Ignore the first tarmac path on your left and go up the ramp/steps a bit farther on to access the hill.  Go over the stile and up the steps through the trees.  Follow the obvious green path ahead, around the fallen trees and on to the top of Black Hall Hill.  Carry on along the hill through the wood, there are several paths but they all eventually meet. Where all the paths join near the end of the hill there are some steps down back to the estate. Go down the steps and turn right on the dirt track on to the road with Ysgol Cedewain on your left.  Follow this road/drive on to Plantation Lane. Turn right to return to the start passing the Maldwyn Leisure Centre on your left and the Garthowen shops on your right before reaching Hafren Road at the start of the walk.
