Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council are reminding local groups and organisations that the deadline for applications for the Community Grant is fast approaching. The deadline for submissions is April 30th, 2024.
Your organisation could get up to £1000 in funding.
The Community Grant aims to support projects or community activities that benefit a minimum of 10 individuals and are delivered through community, voluntary, or self-help groups. Projects funded by the grant should align with the following criteria:
- Carry out work in the community.
- Provide a long-term benefit to the community.
- Extend access and participation, increase skill and creativity, or generally improve the quality of life of people in the area.
- Support principles of equal access and opportunity.
- Not be excluded for reasons of being outside the scope of the scheme.
Groups and organisations eligible to apply for the grant must meet the following criteria:
- Operate within the boundaries of the Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council area.
- Be set up for social and charitable purposes, reinvesting surpluses in community activities.
- Be open to all and allow anyone to join unless there is a valid reason why this is not suitable.
Eligible activities for funding may include but are not limited to:
- Arts and entertainment.
- Care, health, and well-being.
- Cultural or built heritage.
- Education and skills.
- Environment and conservation.
- Recreation and sports.
- Social activities.

Gall eich sefydliad gael hyd at £1000 mewn cyllid.

- Peidio â chael eu heithrio am resymau nad ydynt o fewn cwmpas y cynllun.
Rhaid i grwpiau a sefydliadau sy’n gymwys i wneud cais am y grant fodloni’r meini prawf canlynol:
- Gweithredu o fewn ffiniau ardal Cyngor Tref y Drenewydd a Llanllwchaearn.
- Cael eu sefydlu ar gyfer dibenion cymdeithasol a elwir yn elusennol, gan ailfuddsoddi gorlewinau mewn gweithgareddau cymunedol.
- Bod ar agor i bawb a ganiateir i unrhyw un ymuno oni bai bod rheswm dilys pam nad yw hyn yn addas.
Gallai’r gweithgareddau cymwys i gael cyllid eu cynnwys ond nid ydynt yn gyfyngedig i:
- Celfyddydau a digwyddiadau adloniant.
- Gofal, iechyd, a lles.
- Treftadaeth ddiwylliannol neu adeiladol.
- Addysg a sgiliau.
- Amgylchedd a chadwraeth.
- Hwyl a chwaraeon.
- Gweithgareddau cymdeithasol.
Anogir grwpiau a sefydliadau sydd â diddordeb i gyflwyno eu ceisiadau cyn y dyddiad cau ar 30ain Ebrill. Gellir cael ffurflenni cais a manylion pellach trwy gysylltu â Chyngor Tref y Drenewydd a Llanllwchaearn.
