Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council encourages all residents to actively engage in two significant surveys that directly impact the well-being and safety of our community.
Day Opportunities Survey by Powys County Council:
Powys County Council is conducting a wide-scale engagement exercise on day opportunities available within Powys. This survey targets adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health difficulties, and older individuals who draw on care and support.
Your participation will help to understand what matters in relation to day opportunities, what works well currently, and how it can improve. Day opportunities play a vital role in enhancing well-being, fostering independence, and providing support to carers. Share your views to shape equal, inclusive, and high-quality day opportunities across Powys.
Councillors Jackie Molloy-Davies and Richard White were elected by Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council to work with the Town Clerk, who has been delegated to formulate the council’s response given the imminent deadline of Monday 11th December.

Survey by Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner:
The police precept, funded through your council tax, is crucial for local policing.
Your views on funding levels are essential. Over half of the policing budget comes through the precept, impacting the level of service our communities receive. The current financial challenges are considerable, and your input is invaluable as they navigate uncertainties in funding from the UK and Welsh Government.
Participate in the short consultation survey to ensure your voice is heard in decisions that shape the safety and security of our community.
