Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council proudly announces the triumph of Newtown Food Festival 2023, a culinary extravaganza that delighted attendees with a plethora of flavours, entertainment, and cultural exchange.

The festival kicked off on a high note with a traditional Ceilidh on Friday night at Hafan Yr Afon, setting the stage for a weekend filled with culinary adventures and vibrant festivities. With over 60 exhibitors offering a diverse array of delectable food and drinks, the event provided a memorable experience for all.

Throughout the weekend, attendees were treated to a splendid lineup of entertainment. Live musical performances graced the stage, and families enjoyed a delightful array of activities at the children’s village on the field. The sunlit skies added to the overall charm, creating the perfect backdrop for a weekend of community celebration.

This year, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our French friends from Les Herbiers, whose presence enriched the festival’s international flavour. Organised by the Newtown Twinning Association, they managed the French Village Marquee, offering a wide selection of French wines, food products, and tantalising tasting platters, perfectly paired with wine or beer.

The success of the Newtown Food Festival 2023 would not have been possible without the dedication and support of the Food Festival committee, suppliers, exhibitors, performers, and a remarkable army of volunteers. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who played a part in making this festival a resounding success.

As we bid farewell to this year’s festivities, our sights are already set on Newtown Food Festival 2024. If you wish to be a part of this culinary celebration in the coming year, please don’t hesitate to contact us at bookings@newtownfoodfestival.org.uk.
