Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council (NLTC) is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced third-sector organisation to oversee and coordinate volunteer activities on behalf of the council. This exciting opportunity involves managing volunteers for 52 days per year, primarily focusing on weeding and maintenance of high street planting beds in Newtown.
Scope of Work:
- Volunteer Recruitment and Coordination:
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for designated tasks.
- Ensure compliance with NLTC policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
- Task Management:
- Schedule and organise volunteer workdays in coordination with NLTC.
- Provide necessary tools, equipment, and materials for volunteer activities.
- Supervision and Support:
- Provide on-site supervision and support for volunteers during workdays.
- Ensure volunteers receive adequate guidance, training, and feedback.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and tasks completed.
- Submit regular reports summarising volunteer activities and outcomes.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain open communication channels with NLTC staff and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with NLTC to identify additional volunteer opportunities and projects.
Contract Duration: 3 years
Frequency of Volunteer Days: 52 days per year (exact days and locations to be agreed upon with NLTC)
Submission Requirements: Interested organisations are invited to submit the following information:
- Company profile, including relevant experience in volunteer management.
- Proposed approach and methodology for managing volunteers, including recruitment strategies and supervision protocols.
- Proposed budget, including any fees for service and expenses.
- References from previous clients or projects.
