Following an extensive tree survey on the trees along Sycamore Drive it has been identified that urgent work is required.

The trees along the verge area on Sycamore Drive were assessed and a number of trees require attention to ensure the safety of the area. One of the trees, a Sycamore requires removal due to the presence of Kretzschmaria deist fungal pathogen in the decayed stump, which is reported to potentially lead “to a catastrophic whole tree failure due to a brittle type fracture.” The essential priority tree management work is due to be carried out on Tuesday 14th December subject to weather conditions.
