Christmas is coming…
On Saturday 27th November at 6:00pm, Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council will be hosting the annual “Kicking off Christmas” event. This year the event will take place in the Town Hall Grounds with a Christmas Light & Sound Event by Alliance Theatre. Following the show, the Mayor, Cllr Richard Williams, will conduct the official switch on the towns Christmas lights. There will be no town centre road closures this year associated to the hosting of this event.
Alongside the Christmas Light and Sound Event in the Town Hall Grounds, we are hosting the Christmas Marketing in Bear Lanes from 5pm till 8pm. Do take a wander through, have a look, and support some excellent local causes and businesses. The annual Christmas window competition will also be running with the theme “Christmas Celebrations”. We hope shops and businesses within the town centre will get involved with their creative displays. Judging of the competition will take place on Saturday 27th November.
