TOWN COUNCIL WELCOME ALL COMMENTS – FOR THE NEWTOWN AND LLANLLWCHAIARN “PLACE PLAN”.
The Town Council has announced the final two drop-in events for local residents to influence how they want the town to develop over the next 10-15 years. Views are sought on topics such as housing, play areas, health and community facilities.
Both events are open from 4-7pm for people to drop in and spend as much or as little time as they wish:
Thursday 2nd May – Treowen Community Hall and
Weds 8th May – Waggon & Horses, Canal Road.
There will be several interactive activities at the events, including an exercise to name “the good, the bad and the ugly” aspects of the town.
Councillor Richard Edwards, leading the “Place Plan” project, is encouraging as many residents as possible to take part: “This is a real opportunity for people to make a difference to our town. The Place Plan will influence the way in which planning applications are assessed in future and will also help attract even more investment into the town.”
