This Christmas, Newtown is coming together to celebrate the season with creativity, kindness and community spirit!
Alongside our Kicking Off Christmas event and the magical Enchanted Forest Window Trail, we’re excited to introduce three festive activities that will run until mid-December:
1. Festive Wish Tree
Share your hopes, dreams, and messages of kindness this Christmas!
Residents of Newtown you are invited to write your festive wishes on special tags and hang them on our Wish Tree located at the Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council Office (Sarah Brisco House) throughout December.
Maybe your wish could be about an Act of kindness, Community spirit or Dreams for the future
Judging: The Lead Councillor will choose the most heartwarming, creative, or community focused wish – to WIN a prize.
2. Letters to Santa – Festive Post Box
Children can post their letters to Santa at our themed post box located at the Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Office during the lead up to Christmas.
Judging: The most heartwarming letter will be selected and celebrated – to WIN a prize.
3. Christmas Raffle
Don’t miss our festive raffle that started at the Kicking Off Christmas Event
Prizes have been generously donated by local businesses including Morrisons, Hilltop Honey, and many more. So a BIG Thank You goes out to all of the businesses that have donated.
All Proceeds go to the Mayor’s nominated charities: Rekindle & Street Pastors
