Join us at the Charter Market on Tuesday 3rd March 2026 as we come together to celebrate St David’s Day, honouring Wales’ patron saint with a day dedicated to tradition, community and local pride.

This year’s market will be embracing the spirit of Wales with a warm and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. Visitors will be greeted with complimentary spring bulbs, a cheerful symbol of growth and renewal as we head into spring. Throughout the day, music will help set the tone, creating a lively backdrop to enjoy while you browse and shop.

Our fantastic mix of local market stalls and businesses will be open as usual, offering fresh produce, coffee, gifts, and more. It’s a perfect opportunity to support Newtown’s brilliant local traders and discover something special.

We’re also delighted to welcome members of the Town Council, who will be on hand to chat with visitors. This is a great chance to learn more about their work, hear about ongoing and upcoming local projects and share your thoughts about the community.

Whether you’re popping down for some shopping, meeting friends, or simply soaking up the festive atmosphere, it promises to be a wonderful day to celebrate Newtown, Welsh heritage and the community that makes our town so special.

We look forward to seeing you there – here’s to a Happy St David’s Day!
